Northern Kentucky trick-or-treat guide 2026
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, which means bigger crowds and everyone heading out at once. Here's everything in one place: trick-or-treat hours for every NKY city, the neighborhoods with the most houses, where the full-size bars tend to be, and the trunk or treats worth hitting before the big night.

Most of Northern Kentucky trick-or-treats on Saturday, October 31 from 6 to 8 pm. A few cities do their own thing, so check yours below.

Neighborhoods with the most houses
If the goal is the biggest haul with the least walking between doors, newer neighborhoods in Boone and Kenton County win. These come straight from local moms who do this every year.
Ballyshannon
The biggest one by far. Hundreds of homes in one neighborhood, with more being built, so you can fill a bag without moving the car.
Meadow Glen
A Fischer neighborhood with a community pool, and the most-seconded pick from local moms.
Freedom Trail
Over a hundred houses on Freedom Trail alone, plus the rest of the Freedom Park area.
Sherbourne
Drees neighborhood with a coffee truck already lined up for Halloween night. Enough said.
Aosta Valley
The most-tagged neighborhood in the local moms thread. Park at the pool lot by the park. Bigger lots mean a little more walking.
Wildcat Run
One local called it "a literal zoo" on Halloween, and they meant it as a compliment.
Steeplechase
Pool, clubhouse, trails and a lake, and residents say they get tons of trick-or-treaters.
Treetops + Glenhurst
Both get heavy traffic. Glenhurst has a park nearby for parking.
Ashford Village
Easy to park at the pool lot and walk.
Hanover Park
Established neighborhood with ranch homes, so fewer steps to every door.
Plantation Point
Lancashire and Cherbourg get mentioned every year.
Where the full-size bars are hiding
Nobody officially tracks this (someone should), so think of these as good odds, not a promise.
Sanctuary Village
Newer, higher-end homes with a pool, restaurant and fitness center on site.
Pleasant Ridge
A classic Beechwood-area street with homes from the 1930s.
Meadow Glen
Shows up on both lists for a reason.
Old-school sidewalk trick-or-treating
Prefer front porches, sidewalks and houses close together? Head to the river cities and older streets. Fort Thomas is a favorite for a reason, and Pleasant Ridge in Fort Mitchell, Ludlow and Bellevue all get the classic Halloween feel with more doors per block.

A few tips from a local
- Park at a neighborhood pool or park lot and walk in. Driving through a packed subdivision on Halloween is a choice you'll only make once.
- With a Saturday Halloween, expect more out-of-town traffic in the big neighborhoods. Start right at 6.
- Bring a flashlight. Northern Kentucky weather will give you all four seasons in one night, so layer the costumes.
Did I miss your street? Send me a message and I'll add it for next year.
